In honour of Mental Health Awareness week 2019, I have put together some of my most favourite inspirational quotes. I’ve always loved finding and listing quotes – I created a collection of My Favourite Latin Phrases not too long ago. My workbooks are filled with quotations I have come across throughout my life.
If you’re ever feeling down, inspirational quotes might just help to turn your day around!
“There is nothing impossible to him who will try.” Alexander the Great
“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.” Albert Einstein
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” Steve Jobs
“All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” Walt Disney
“Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.” Oscar Wilde
“Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next-door neighbour. Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting.” Mother Theresa
“A man is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits.” Richard Nixon
“I don’t want to get to the end of my life and find that I lived just the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well.” Diane Ackerman
“The wide world is all about you: you can fence yourselves in, but you cannot forever fence it out.” J.R.R. Tolkien
“Ambition is a dream with a V8 engine.” Elvis Presley
“Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone.” Pablo Picasso
“Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them.” William Shakespeare
“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” Dr. Seuss
“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” Mae West
“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.” Michelangelo
“Failure is unimportant. It takes courage to make a fool of yourself.” Charlie Chaplin
“Darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer.” J.R.R. Tolkien

“To me, business isn’t about wearing suits or pleasing stockholders. It’s about being true to yourself, your ideas and focusing on the essentials.” Richard Branson
“A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him.” David Brinkley
“I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear.” Rosa Parks
“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” Walt Disney
“Don’t follow the crowd, let the crowd follow you.” Margaret Thatcher
“It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back and let things happen to them. They went out and happened to things.” Leonardo Da Vinci

“Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It’s quite simple, really: Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by failure or you can learn from it, so go ahead and make mistakes. Make all you can. Because remember that’s where you will find success.” Thomas J. Watson
“The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” Mark Twain

Some really great inspirational quotes. I have a handful of favourite quotes but I don’t really think they’d be classed as inspirational lol Here’s two of them, I believe they are both from Being Erica:
“They say without risk, there is no reward; perhaps it goes further than that. Without risk there is no exploration, no discovery, no delight….so don’t waste time, take a risk…..see what comes.”
“Growth is painful. Change is hard. And there are days when you wish it would just stop. Wouldn’t it be great to just know? To feel like you’ve finally figured it all out? To just be done? It’s the hardest and most wonderful thing about being alive, that no matter how much you learn, grow or change, you’re never done.”
