English Heritage Bargains!

English Heritage Bargains!

On our recent trip to Cumbria, we visited a number of English Heritage sites. For the past three years, we have been English Heritage members and so whenever we travel, we like to make the most of our membership and tick a few more sites off our list. Read more about English Heritage Membership here. To say I was overjoyed to see English Heritage gift shops are currently having a sale is an understatement!

ENGLISH HERITAGE GIFTS SALE

I was pleased to find that English Heritage also had a clearance sale on their website as well as in their stores.

I have a huge and growing wish list of items from their fabulous online store! As a historian, it’s always nice to but my colleagues something history based for Christmas and birthdays. I’m now well stocked!

But I also have friends who have little or no interest in my work. I’ve picked up some bargains for them too! In particular, jewellery! I always receive compliments on my necklaces and earrings. Most of them have been purchased in English Heritage stores. They make the perfect gift. The fabulous range of English Heritgae jewellery can be found here.

OUR ENGLISH HERITAGE BARGAINS

Firstly, we stopped off at Lanercost Priory. The site is not huge and has a cosy little gift shop, which is extremely well stocked!

Secondly, we picked up some more bargains at Birdoswald Roman Fortress. Aurelia and I went pretty crazy in these stores! Here’s our English Heritage Bargains:

I bought a few of these ‘create your own necklace’ kits for gifts for my nieces.

My new beautiful earrings were reduced from £25.00 to £6.25! An absolute bargain!

I’ve decided to wrap the mugs and key rings as gifts. I simply adore the patterns on the mugs!

I have spent a fortune on ink over the years. Both my daughters love playing around writing with their quills. I’ve now stocked up on ink which should last them for the foreseeable future!

This naughts and crosses game is perfect for us. We travel quite a lot and this game is simple enough for my 5 year old to play and also compact!

My friends love unicorns! I’ve now got their birthday presents sorted with these medieval unicorn tea towels and magnets. (I couldn’t resist the coasters for myself!)

You can’t beat a good old historical memory game! I love these cards, not only are they entertaining for my 5-year-old, but they’re also educational!

A FEW TREATS FOR ME

My new favourite thing is my Roman notepad!!! The perfect blogging accesory.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always wanted one of these window stickers! And so I couldn’t resist picking up one for my bedroom! And I now also have a fabulous matching bookmark!

Shopping Bag – £2.25

Finally, I was able to load all of my English Heritage bargains into my new sturdy shopping bag.

I was so excited with my shopping spree, I simply had to share!

I am VERY jealous of your window stickers! I know HRP has an online shop but I’ll have to see if English Heritage do too…

Loved looking at all your finds! These are great and I think your friends will be very please to receive these! The unicorns, the mug and bag are my favourites! I have to admit, whenever I go to a museum, the first thing I check out are the gift shops, lol!
