Bargain Winter Home Accessories

Bargain Winter Home Accessories

As you may already know, my family and I moved into a new home 3 months ago. Our new home is a new build property and was a totally blank canvas! We’ve decided to keep the walls white (for now at least) and change the mood of the room with accessories. This week, I’ve been shopping for winter accessories so I can totally change each room without spending a fortune. Here are my bargain winter accessories for the home.

Candles and Scents

My home is always full of candles – different colours and smells for each room in the house! Candles are a great way to accessorise your home; they’re relatively cheap so you can create a whole new look and feel in your home on a regular basis.

Last year I found a gorgeous candle collection in Home Bargains. These amazing candles are not featured on the store’s website but are available in store. A large jar costs a mere £2.99! The candle collection is called Wickford & Co. and they honestly smell just as good as some of the more expensive brands. (I have raved about this candle collection previously on my blog, read here). Our family favourite is the gingerbread candle.

Home Bargains – £2.99

A winter atmosphere can be greatly enhanced with smells. These winter spice scented pine cones would look amazing in a clear vase or bowl and create that Christmas vibe.

Amazon – £8.48

Cushions

For me, cushions are the ultimate in winter accessories. I have come across some really tacky winter cushions. However, Next have on offer a really tasteful collection of winter cushions which would create that warm and cosy winter feeling in any home. The felt star cushions are my favourites and come in either silver or red.

Next – £14.00 each

Staying with the red winter theme, Asda stock a beautiful, yet affordable selection of winter accessories, including this pom pom cushion.

Asda – £10.00

I love shopping in Wilko, they have such an extensive range of home accessories. This grey cushion would work well with the wintery red cushions pictured above to create a perfect winter feel.

Wilko – £7.00

Throws

I always buy a new throw for my lounge in winter. Throws make my living room feel so cosy in the winter months. They are a great winter accessory because they are so cheap. Matalan have an excellent selection of throws this year. My lounge is full of grey accessories, so this would look great in our home!

Matalan – £6.00

Amazon also have a large collection of winter throws. This grey pom pom throw looks incredibly cosy.

Amazon.co.uk – £27.99

My daughters love faux fur throws, the material puts them in the mood for cosy nights in front of the fire sipping cocoa. They both love this bargain winter accessory for the sofa, in fact, I’m having to buy two because they both want one each for their bedrooms!

B & M – £19.99

Ornaments

A must-have winter accessory is most definitely a lantern. Ikea has a beautiful tealight holder lantern in stock which will add a touch of winter to any home. This is a stylish yet functional piece for the home.

Ikea – £10.00

I’m never quite sure why, but the onset of winter demands antlers (fake of course) somewhere in the home (in the words of Gueston – I use antlers in all of my decorating!). Antlers are an ideal winter accessory, they simply scream winter! I spotted this beautiful glass candle holder in Matalan. The neutral colours of this piece mean it will work with any current decor.

Matalan – £16.00

One of my favourite winter accessories I have found this year has to be this illuminated vase. It’s simply adorbale and a must-have for my home.

Christmas Trees and Lights.co.uk – £21.99

Other Winter Accessories

I simply adore Etsy. In fact, I could (and quite often do) spend hours on this site looking for unusual Christmas gifts and winter accessories for the home. I came across this leaf garland which would look perfect in my hallway, welcoming visitors with a touch of winter and the great outdoors.

Etsy – £15.00

I have been searching for a floral arrangement to complete my winter accessories, and I found this beautiful piece in Saninsburys. The colours are beautiful and ooze all things winter and Chrsitmas!

Sainsbury’s – £16.00

I hope you’ve enjoyed browsing through my winter accessories shopping list!
